    I’m on a multisite install.
BadgeOS is activated on a site by site basis on some sites.
    BuddyPress is Network Activated.
On the subsites where BadgeOS is active, I’ve been able to add the Community Add On so that badges that are earned appear in the activity stream.
I’ve just activated BadgeOS on the root domain (still not network activated, just active on the root)
When attempting to activate BadgeOS Community Add on on the root domain (where BP lives) the plugin attempted to activate and then resulted in a white screen. I had to delete the plugin via FTP to resolve it. Now when I re-install the plugin, the whitescreen occurs right away (I don’t have to attempt to activate the plugin first).

Any suggestions on how I can get this activated, or some insight into what the plugin might be looking for upon activation that it perhaps can’t find? Should I network activate the Community Add On despite not wanting BadgeOS active Networkwide?

We would need to know what the actual error is that’s being encountered. Do you have PHP errors being sent to any logs anywhere? Perhaps just turning on WP_DEBUG temporarily would help as well. At least then we’d know what the actual error is.

Thanks Michael. I’ll do that a bit later tonight once the site is a bit quieter.

As an aside, can you comment on best practices for activating the community add-on on a multi site where badgeos isn’t network active.

Not really a “best practice” available. Activate as necessary. It does check for if BuddyPress is available, if I recall right, so make sure that’s active in the current site first.

Seems it’s a memory error upon activation.

[01-Dec-2015 05:07:49 UTC] PHP Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 268435456 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 21876 bytes) in …/wp-includes/wp-db.php on line 1389

As far as the Best Practice question is concerned, I suppose I was just wondering if due to the fact that BP is network activated, would the Community Add-on have difficulty checking for BP if it wasn’t being network activated as well.

Shouldn’t as far as I can tell for the last part.

Definitely a memory issue for the actual topic at hand. Not something we can control at the plugin level.
