White Screen When Inserting Images into Blog Posts
-
I cannot insert images into my blog posts and get a blank white screen when I click “insert into post.” This happens randomly, with no apparent rhyme or reason. I have maintained my fashion and beauty blog for two years now – and have had the problem since its inception. I do not have any problems uploading photos to the gallery – just when I try to insert them into the posts from the gallery. I’ve written on this forum several times before – dating back a couple of years – and no one has been able to help me with this issue. I’ve tried many suggestions including removing plugins, one at a time, to see if there are conflicts. I’ve tried inserting using the html. Everything everyone has suggested has not worked. The only way I can actually insert photos when this happens is to copy them to a word doc and then copy and paste from there into my post. However, this messes up the post’s formatting – which I work very hard on to make it attractive.
I am currently trying to insert fashion show images from my gallery into a post reviewing the show. This post is time sensitive. I have been working on it since last night when I was unable to insert images. I tried for hours. I tried again this morning. Still the white screen. It may work in 10 minutes, or 2 hours, or tomorrow. I never know. What I do know is that there is obviously a problem – and it frustrates me endlessly.
My husband, while working side my side with me, can sometimes upload photos when I cannot. I have changed browsers and that didn’t help. Sometimes my husband can’t insert the photos and gets the white screen. He is more likely to get it when he tries to insert hyperlinks or tries to make text bold.
I have spoken with my hosting company, my ISP. I have changed routers. I have changed ISPs. Nothing has worked.
It’s like building a house when the hammer you’re using has no head. It is a frustrating and endlessly tedious process. A timely post with a short deadline may take 4 days until I can insert photos. This is ridiculous.
Please help!
Thanks.
