White space below header and above footer

  • I just started creating a new website, and I noticed there is a white strip below the header and another one above the footer. There is also a small white box on the right side below the header.

    To get rid of the white space, I tried to use a negative margin for the body sections, but the small white box still shows on top of my images.

    How can I get rid of the white strips and box from showing up on every new page?
