White space below slide show

I am using the Weaver II theme and have placed the Meteor Slides slide show into the header (to replace the header image), which worked fine. However, there is a large amount of white space, which appears to be the same size as the slide show, displaying below the slide show and above the main navigation bar. I can’t figure out why this white space is appearing. Because I am working in a development environment, I can’t post a link to the URL. Thanks!
