White space in google reader after posting in wordpress

I have a wordpress powered blog and I think I may be posting wrong. When I post I have to put several spaces in between my writing and pictures otherwise the words will be to the right of the pictures and not underneath. When I post to my site it looks fine, but the coding has all these spaces and paragraphs. So when I look at the post in google reader there are huge white spaces in between my writing and pictures. How can I fix this? I asked a google reader expert and they said that it’s something with my posts and not with google reader. Please help!
