White space opposite all content

    I’m new at this and am using the Green Stimulus theme as-is. Trouble is that no matter which layout I choose, nor which widgets I use/eliminate, I can’t get content to appear opposite other content. Instead, it’s like a Jacob’s ladder:

    x
    ___x

    I can’t figure out how this occurred and would love it if someone could take a look:
