white space under footer

  • Ok, the last time I posted anything about my WP stylesheets the responses were a little harsh..
    I’ve re-done the css using float rather than absolute position, so the menu doesn’t overflow the footer.

    As far as I can see, this now works ok. However, there is (using anything other than IE, anyway) a small bar of white space underneath .credit, and I can’t figure out how to get rid of it. Any ideas?

  • take out the
    clear: both; in the .credit declaration, that should do it.

    the clear: both; is somewhat crucial to the floats, so it has to stay.
    negative margin seems to fix it, thanks for the suggestion ??
