At this point it would be really beneficial to have database access (see my previous message on this). Is there any way you could reach out to your hosting provider for that? Perhaps they have some security features enabled or something.

I updated most of the plugins and the theme.
I got the following error inside the Web Stories editor when I tried to create a new story

<div class=”mce-notification-inner”>Failed to initialize plugin: et_quicktags</div>

Ps I did manage to create a story and it does pass the AMP validation tool

et_quicktags is not something the Web Stories plugin uses.

This is usually caused by the Divi theme. See https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/failed-to-initialize-plugin/#post-11682189 where lots of people were having similar issues.

Make sure to update Divi to the latest version. If the error still happens, try a different theme and contact Divi support.

Yes, I do have the Divi theme but this is the only plugin that triggers that error.

That said, I updated the site to the latest version of WordPress, and I can edit the newly created web stories but I still can’t edit the old ones.

Besides the previous errors documented in the topic, I get a new error when I preview a story.

On a positive note

I can see the newly created stories in
Stories > My Stories
I can duplicate my stories in
Stories > My Stories

Could you confirm this error occurs when you have Web Stories installed and the Divi theme activated?

Are you able to switch to a default WordPress theme and edit your stories in an incognito window?
