Whitelist IP or country

  • I am having a lot of traffic from China, Russia and other countries that are outside my desired market. So far nothing malicious that I am aware of, but I would rather block inquiries from these places or, better yet, simply whitelist searches from the US.

    I tried the IQ Block Country plugin and have had repeated problems. The only way it works, and then only some of the time, is in blocking only China. When I add Russia and other known problem countries it blocks everyone. Even when I have just China it will still block folks in the US.

    Nothing consistent, but very frustrating.

    Is there a plugin that really works for this situation, or even a modification to .htaccess or other fix?
