I have not added any whitelisted IP addresses to Wordfence for any of my websites…

HOWEVER the following addresses continue to appear as whitelisted on more than one of my websites (but not all of them): 198.61.176.9,198.61.173.69

When I remove them… they reappear in the fill-in area.

The IP owner is: Rackspace Hosting

Any help. What would be causing this to happen?

    Thanks… Louie

Wow. That is rather sinister. Is rackspace your hosting provider? Is it possible they’re signing in and adding the whitelisted IP’s themselves?

    Thanks,

    Mark.

No… they are NOT my hosting provider. Unless BlueHost is actually just reselling Rackspace hosting.

It has since gone away… but I sure didn’t like seeing it there.

Not sure what was going on???

    TopSpots,

You say it went away? did you delete and they stop coming back?

I too recently noticed this exact same issue. I recently installed WordFence on a test site and had not adjusted this setting.

    Actually…

I tried to delete them. But they would reappear. I could not get rid of them.

Then I logged back in one day, and they were gone. The text has remained empty ever since. Very strange.
