    Hallo there,

i think this is an issue caused by a wrong options unloading. You can find these settings by reading the wp_options table in the database and searching for the prefix redirect2url. Deleting these options removes the redirections.
Within the next update, i will implement a better options-deleting-routine.
Please let me know if this solves your issue.
    Thank you for your feedback.

    Greetings,
    Marcel

    Hello Inapprope,
the new version of the plugin deletes all options by deleting the plugin.
    This removes all redirections.
I assume that this update, if not the database workaround fixes your problem.

Thanks for the update. It’s still acting funky to me. When I try to do stuff in the wordpress back end it opens the redirect link or some random link in a new window. Kind of hard to describe. I even updated it, deleted it then reinstalled it.

Are there still any entries in the database-table wp_options beginning with redirect2url after removing the plugin via the admin interface?

    Not that I can see.

Without any entries in the database, this plugin doesn′t redirect the user. I assume that your problem is caused by another plugin.
If there is anything i can do to help you, please let me know.

It was when I had the plugin installed and activated that I was having the problems. Now that it’s deleted I’m getting no problems.

I thought it was working for a second, but now when I open a regular page on my website then hit the back button it opens up the url I put in your plugin for a post. Very strange.

    Hello Inapprope,

this turns out to be a little tricky, since i can only assume the source of the problems. Please give my new update a try. To keep it clean, remove the current version of the plugin completely, install the new version, remove it and reinstall it =D
I′ve applied some better cleaning up routines that only take action by removing the update.

    Thanks for your feedback!

I appreciate the quick response. It’s still acting kind of funky for me. I click on the redirected url and it does pop up in a new tab, but if I go back to my homepage tab and click my browser’s back button that redirected link pops up in a new window again, when it shouldn’t.

Another example of a problem. I go to another page first, click back to my homepage and click the redirected link. It opens in a new window, but my homepage automatically refreshes to a page I clicked to it from… if that makes any sense.

I was able to recreate your first explained problem. That one is caused by the fact, that everytime you open the page with the redirection, you will open the website your page redirects to. By now i have no clue for a workaround but will think about it.
But i couldn′r recreate your second problem.
