    Hello-

There is a bug in the latest Events Calendar update. I am running the free version of Events Calendar. After I updated the plugin on March 4th, it took my whole WP site down. A message would show up when I tried to go to my website that said there was an Events Calendar issue. I couldn’t even access my WP dashboard. Had to go in on the back end to deactivate Events Calendar in files.

Please help as I love Events Calendar and now I can’t reactivate it as my site will go down. Here is what I am running:

    WordPress version 6.1.1
Active theme: Shop Isle (version 1.1.46)
Current plugin: The Events Calendar (version 6.0.10)
PHP version 7.4.33, Yoast SEO 20.2.1, WooCommerce 7.4.1, Classic Editor 1.6.2

    Thanks.

    Hi @jpoer456

Thanks for reaching out. Let me help you with this one.

For now, please revert your changes either through your backup, or by downgrading The Events Calendar to your previous version that you were using.

After that, please create a staging version of your live site, enable the debugging (staging site), and try to replicate the issue once again, and it should show you a more detailed error message. Please send us a screenshot or the full error message for us to investigate it further.

Moreover, before your update last March 4, were you able to successfully migrate your events to the New Event Data System?

    Looking forward to your reply.

Thank you for the reply, Darian. I wish I had copy pasted the error code but I didn’t. But I was able finally to get in the back end with the help of my web host and I disabled Events Calendar. I then disabled the Word Press Classic Editor 1.6.2 plugin I have on my WP dashboard. That plugin had created a problem with Yoast SEO in the past so I thought it might be the culprit again. I reactivated the Events Calendar and all seems to be good now. Honeslty, I don’t know why I installed the WP Classic Editor as I don’t need it. I deleted Classic Editor for good. Will open a new string if I run into more problems but all seems well. Thanks!
