    Hi,
I am testing your plugin. Usually I don’t go for plugins that start the plugin description with linking to the Premium version. But I made an exception. But come on, the settings for this plugin is ONE LARGE IMAGE of the Premium plugin interface? How lazy is that? Try to be serious in an Open Source community and treat the user with some decency.

I translated the free plugin to Swedish. Found a bug. The role Wholesale Customer is not translatable with the POT-file that I found in the free plugin languages directory. The string “Wholesale Customer” is in the POT-file but it is not connected to the user role selection dropdown. The other user roles are translated so this must be an omission from your side.

  • Actually, WordPress doesn’t really use those pot files. The Swedish translation happens in https://translate.www.ads-software.com/locale/sv/default/wp-plugins/woocommerce-wholesale-prices/ and a language pack will be generated when at least 95% of the strings have been translated and approved. Usually, strings that are pending for Swedish get checked relatively fast. And if you submit good strings, then we’ll be happy to appoint you as translation editor for the Swedish translation of this plugin.

Yes, I know how it’s done with PO-edit. And I added the .po and .mo files to
/wp-content/languages/plugins/ making sure they are overwritten in an update (I think?).

I have not yet calmed down after seeing that huge Buy Premium GUI image in the settings page. I am allergic to that kind of blatant up sell bad manners. And I haven’t decided this is the plugin to use. The lack of settings for the free version suggests that the company behind it is not taking the free version seriously. For instance would a very good setting for the free (both) version be a possibility to override the Wholesale Customer name and perhaps other strings as well.

Concerning my own translation, I used the nomenclature that suited my shop best. The names for Wholesale (in Swedish) can differ and is a matter of taste (grossist, partihandel etc.).

I might be back when I’ve checked up the other wholesale or role pricing plugins.
