Why are my images cropped?

Please go through this article once: https://www.mediumtalk.net/fix-featured-image-auto-cropping-wordpress/ and change the value accordingly.

You will find the file containing the function (mentioned in the article) by going to your theme folder > inc > colormag-setup.php

Also, after updating the settings, you will need to regenerate the thumbnails. You can follow the same article for this as well.
