Why are users not unsubscribed after changing role??

  • Hi there,

    My Mailchimp list is synced to user role contributor.
    Now I changed user role for many users to subscriber. But they are not unsubscribed, this just happens when I delete them as WP users.
    Should they not be subscribed after changing user role?

    An answer would be great…
