Why aren't categories showing up

  • I am using the MT dark 3.1.3 by Tomasz Mazur for my blog and am trying to create categories. However, it defaults ot a category called ‘uncategorized’ and when I create categories and sub categories, they do not show up in the blog and only the uncategorized one appears.

    I need tp be able to have many categories and sub categories and to place posts under these including ones that readers post.

    Any ideas?
