Why blog page reverts back to homepage.php template?

  • I have a custom theme that I’m developing. The home page is static and the blog is set to a page. I’m using page templates. Most of my pages have or will have some unique properties. For some reason, my blog page keeps reverting to homepage.php, my home page template. Can anyone tell me why it is doing this?
