Why calling ?wc-ajax=get_variation?

    Hi,

    I discovered, that when selecting a variation for some products, a backend call ‘?wc-ajax=get_variation’ is done, while for others, nothing like this happens.

    The only difference I can see is that the products, where this call is executed, have lots of variations, while the others don’t.

    What are the rules which define when such a call is made?

    I’d like to avoid these calls all together, because they are ‘expensive’.

    is it possible that this is due to “Ajax variation threshold” option?
    Can I safely set it to a higher value?
    What will be the impact?

    Yes, you are correct. We recommend setting the maximum value for the Ajax variation threshold to 100. If you set it higher, it could potentially impact your website’s speed and performance negatively.
