Why Can't Static Home Page Be a Category?

    Why can’t a static home page be a category? I’m sure many people want this? How do you make a suggestion for a new feature? I so badly need this, as do many others I’m sure. thanks.

    Because static Pages do not have categories – let alone be a category.

    Right, but if you want your home page to display posts from only certain categories, you are out of luck unless you hire a programmer to do it. Widgets don’t work I’ve tried this. You can use a featured post widget, but there is not way to limit the number of posts per page ( ie have 10 posts only before there is a “next page” link at the bottom.
