Why did he need the FTP info?

  • I hired someone to do customization. But why did he need my FTP info? Just to upload pictures? Is that how its done?

    Did he create a custom theme for you? If so, he’d need something like FTP to upload the theme and associated files.
    Custom plugin? Same.

    He probably tweaked the atahualpa theme that I have. Maybe thats why he needed the FTP info. Now Im on my own and wondering if I also need to use the FTP path to get stuff done. Hmmm… so much to figure out for a newbie like me. ??

    themes can be edited easily from the dashboard(theme editor), i don’t think anyone needs a ftp for doing that. If you are feeling worried, i suggest you to change your ftp password once he had finished the work ??

    Well, atahualpa and header images would need FTP.
