This is why cache plugins are difficult. I haven’t used one in a while and just deleted your plugin.

Please explain why you then have to send me an email explaining that you left some files behind – I don’t know how destructive they are – that somehow you couldn’t remove. And now I have to figure out how to do that.

    Dear`User,

WP Super Cache was removed from your blog or deactivated but some files could
    not be deleted.

    /hermes/bosnacweb05/bosnacw999/b2564/name/public_html/my blog/wp-content/advanced-cache.php

You should delete these files manually.
You may need to change the permissions of the files or parent directory.
You can read more about this in the Codex`

  • The plugin does try to remove advanced-cache.php but it won’t if it thinks that the file wasn’t created by this plugin it won’t delete it.

The file may have been created by some other plugin or your hosting provider and deleting it may have caused your site to crash.

I was able to delete it easily, and it didn’t crash my blog.

I don’t usually get emails from plugins, so it startled me.
