• Below are link two different posts on my blog. If you look at the IMDB links at the bottom of each post, you will see that they look different. One is in a lighter color and is underlined, the other is not underlined and is in a different color.

    Correct: https://uzi.wirelesszer0.com/?p=86
    Incorrect: https://uzi.wirelesszer0.com/?p=27

I have not changed any of the code on the blog. Can someone please explain why this is happening and how I can fix it without affecting the rest of the links on my page (such as sidebar, author, time stamps etc.)

    thanks

  • the IMDB links on both pages look the exact same to me….

Both are dotted underlines, lighter colour

really? could this be a browser issue? I am using firefox.. you?

and secondly, could this be that when the links are visited, this is what happens to them. I don’t think this is the case because I did check from three different comps.

    Hmm..

and also, do you see dotted lines below the image in the first link? Do you see them in the other one too?

I want to get rid of those lines. I think they are appearing becuase the images are links, but how do I classify images differently from all the other links on the page?

    Voodoo,

I see what you mean. For some reason, the link variation is not happening on the single post pages, but it is on the main page.

    wierd, right?

img links outlines can be removed by using outline:none in css
(Note…the outline feature is useful…it’s there for accessibility reasons)

also, I notice that your links have a class assigned to them:
    a class="wp-oembed"

How do you place your links? is that a plugin?
that class isn’t in your stylesheet, maybe its in a plugin which is causing your links to style differently

    Hey,

Apparently ep-oembed is a standard embedding technique for videos and audio. Its within the settings when you upload a link. No plugin needed.

But I tried taking it out of the link, and there is no change. I even went back to those posts and reinserted the links, nothing changes there either.

But by posting another post, I do have another clue: On the homepage, only the first post shows the links as they should appear and it also shows a line under the image. But from the second post onwards, the links show incorrectly and the line under the image disappears.

    Its really weird.
