• in order to see the content that I have posted?
I aim to setup a amazon affiliate site and have installed a plugin called Amazon product in a post however, I am not using that plugin and am only posting direct affiliate links in an order to get the site up and running ASAP.
Why do i have to press more in order to see the products that I have posted on the homepage?

  • Your theme is using excerpts to display trimmed down version of the content. It’s not good UX to have the entire post content displayed to the user upon arriving at your site. You want to give them a blurb, and if they are enticed they will click “More” to view the rest of the post.

You can adjust your theme to use the entire content instead of the excerpt.

This is normally controlled by your theme. What theme are you using? Where did you download it from?

the theme I am using is called waterlily and needless to say I would rather have it show EVERYTHING as soon as you come to the site. Though, I can see how that will be useful in the future.

also I posted everything to the home page and that is not even a option in the static front page settings did I mess up?

I would bet that since the theme is so minimalistic, there is no built in option to change it.

I would start a thread inside of that themes support forum.

Again, this is controlled by your theme and is not a functionality of WordPress. WordPress does not provide out of the box way to toggle between the two. You need to code it into your theme. If your theme does not have these options, then your only choice is to make a child theme and adjust the core code of the theme.

waterlily is available from the wordpress theme engine

so and forgive me because I am new. Would I be able to copy my text code from that theme and paste it into another without incident?
