Why do you ask what the current language is on setup?
-
I wanted to take weglot for a test spin. I’m still going to do so, but something that immediately set me off is the fact that a plugin that is all about translations doesn’t even translate the initial admin interface…
On my Dutch website the form looks like this:
Original language [English]
What is the original (current) language of your website?Destination languages
Choose languages you want to translate into. Supported languages can be found?here.Wijzigingen opslaan
Only the final button is translated to Dutch.
Also, my site is already in Dutch, (you can get this info easily from the wordpress settings with
get_option('WPLANG')
, so at least make this the initial value in the dropdown list instead of English. This looks very messy as a first impression.. I hope further testing will make up for it. I also don’t mean to nitpick, but it’s these small details that make the difference between a premium plugin and some amateur work in my opinion.
