    The Metaslider slideshows plays when I am logged in (i.e. uncached pages). However when viewing webpages in the Incognito window (i.e. cached pages), I am seeing the following error message in the Google Developer Tools Console Window:

    (index):974 Uncaught TypeError: $(…).responsiveSlides is not a function
    at metaslider_2124305 ((index):974:38)
    at timer_metaslider_2124305 ((index):987:161)

    How can this issue be resolved?

    Hi @supertrooper2

    Thanks for using MetaSlider.

    This is likely to be caching issue:
    – What caching plugin are you using?
    – Have you tried experimenting with the settings to see if any changes can improve this issue?

    Hi Steve

    The problem can be resolved by turning off “js minification” but then the slider is only become visible when the user starts to scroll down the page.

    In addition the page loading times become unacceptable.

    So the question is how can we exclude Metaslider from js minification?

    Hi,

    You should contact W3Speedster on how to exclude specific directories with their JS minification feature. In this case, the MetaSlider directory which would most-likely be on /wp-content/plugins/ml-slider

    Please also try disabling the lazy loading feature as it would sometimes cause issues with MetaSlider.

    @yanex

    Inserting /wp-content/plugins/ml-slider into the “Exclude Javascript tags from combine” section has resolved the issue.

    Thanks for the great support.
