Why does my site not have Homepage widgets

  • I’m trying to update my homepage on the site to create the block section homepage. However, when I look at my widgets, there are no Homepage options (such as the Homepage Blocks Area, Homepage Sidebar Area, Homepage Full Width Area). Anyone have an idea why this is the case? When I click ‘manage with live preview’, I see the message, “Your theme has 9 other widget areas, but this particular page doesn’t display them.”

    Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  • First you need to setup homepage……..

    Create a black page ———— home ( url should be just home )

    then go to setting and the page ( home ) as home page………then you get everything.

    It seems you have not set up your homepage completely so this issue arising.
    Please follow this instruction kindly to set up your homepage.
    Goto Dashboard -> page-> add new -> give your page name and select page template as homepage from the right side of the screen. please check this screenshot for more details.
    Now go to Dashboard ->Setting -> reading -> select homepage display as a static page and from the drop-down option select the page you created for the homepage.

    Also, In this theme, the homepage section is predefined while developing the theme.
    you can have widgets for the Top sidebar,middle sidebar,Bottom sidebar etc. please check this screenshot for more details.You can select the required widget and can use them by adding a required section from the left side of the screen.
    we recommend you to follow this documentation to configure your theme properly.

    Thanks for the helpful and detailed response. I did set up the homepage properly now and I do see the block section layout. However, when I go to manage this in my widgets, I’m still missing the ‘Homepage Blocks’ area. I do see the Home Top, Middle and Bottom Sidebar areas, but not the Homepage Block area. When managing the homepage with live preview, I see the message, “Your theme has 4 other widget areas, but this particular page doesn’t display them.” Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
