My site shows “Site Name” powered by phpMyFAQ 2.9.5 when I share on Facebook.

How can I get rid of the “powered by phpMyFAQ 2.9.5” part?

his is urgent, as the site is due to go public.

  • Based upon some Google searching it looks like you’re using this software

Is the URL you’re trying to share not using WordPress but that software? If so, that would explain the issue with that content in the page title. You’d want to contact support for that software instead to see how to get that removed from the page titles of your site.

    Thanks for the reply.

No, I don’t have that anywhere on my server, let alone on that site account.

I’ve swapped to a default theme, and it still happens. I’ve also deactivated all third party plugins, and its still there.

Where in WordPress would I find the line of code that would output the “powered by” part that shows in a facebook share? And could it be removed to see if that gets rid of this issue? (Its worth trying)
