why does the customer url have #response= in checkout?

In addition, please share a copy of your site’s System Status. You can find it via WooCommerce → Status. Select Get system report and then Copy for support.

Hi,

She claims that when she clicked on ‘Credit & Debit Card’ payment option it didn’t drop down to allow her to put her card number in. I’ve tried it on all devices (desktop,iPad,mobile – she was on an iPad) and it all seems fine. The only thing I could note was her URL has this #response, although i also did add that to my URL and it still worked so maybe it was user error.

Thank you for explaining further and for providing the System Status.

I tested your checkout and couldn’t reproduce the issue on my end neither.

The payment dropdown is generated dynamically via JavaScript and could certainly be a local issue on the user’s browser. I’d ask them to clear the cache or try running it on another browser.

I also noted that your WooCommerce checkout template (form-checkout.php) is not native, but provided by your theme (Goldish). If other users report the error, I’d try as a first step to update the theme to the latest version.

It would be interesting having your customer send more details and clarify where exactly that URL appears and what steps they have taken before. To be honest, I haven’t seen that #response= before and it doesn’t seem to come from WooCommerce itself.

Without being able to reproduce it on the website it is rather difficult to understand what it can be caused by.

If it’s only happening with a customer, it should be correct to assume it’s something about their specific browser or configuration. But keep an eye out if it happens for other customers as well.
