Why does this not work at all?

  • I’ve been trying for days to get this plugin to work. I’ve followed all of the procedures, created my app, submitted the publish action and had it approved etc…

    But this plugin would NOT publish to my timeline at all even when it said it had.

    So I removed the plugin altogether, created a new app, reinstalled the plugin, but now I can’t even get the settings to stay. I need to post to my timeline before I can submit my action, but this plugin just isn’t playing ball at all…

    Has ANYONE got this working?

  • 1. The plugin does work. There are some bugs, but it’s free so there are going to be a few at first.
    2. One of those bugs is publishing to the Author’s timeline. It will post to the fan page, but unless there’s been an update recently, the timeline is still an issue.
    3. It sounds like the settings issue is a conflict with another plugin. Deactivate your plugins, activate facebook, then try the settings page. If it saves, then you have a plugin conflict and will need to turn them on one by one and keep checking the facebook plugin to see which is causing the conflict.

    Another possibility that has happened before with settings is that you need to click save twice. Set everything up, click the Save button, wait for it to reload with the message that it’s been saved, then click save again. No idea why this happens, but I’ve had the issue with checkboxes in the facebook plugin settings page.
