Why doesn’t FeedBurner rcognize my site as a feed?
-
My site is very simple, with nothing but WP posts on it. Nothing else. I’m trying to get an RSS feed set up through FeedBurner and have verified my site with Google. When I try to add the feed to Feedburner, I get this error:
The URL does not appear to reference a valid XML file. We encountered the following problem: Error on line 22: The element type “body” must be terminated by the matching end-tag “</body>”.
When I click “Confirm it’s validity now”, it highlights these two lines:
1. <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC “-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN” “https://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd”>
2. <html xmlns=”https://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml”>and
22. <!– End HEADER –> </div><div id=”contentwrap”><div id=”content”> <div class=”post post1″>
…and tells me:
It looks like this is a web page, not a feed. I looked for a feed associated with this page, but couldn’t find one. Please enter the address of your feed to validate.
I don’t know what to do or how to fix this problem, but I need to set up this feed today. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks so much!
