• hi, i’ve got wordpress running, installed the google sitemap generator but still google does not show my site?

i mean, when i type wolfclaw.net in google it doesn’t even register whether i even have a blog site.

i’m thinking it’s because all the code pages are in .php and so google’s engine is skipping them because it sees them as executable scripts, hence why my site never shows up on google; but i would have thought the sitemap plugin by Arne Brachhold for wordpress would help somehow.

Any ideas or do i have to create a static front page?

  • Your site is far too new.
Keep making content, wait for at least 4 weeks and it will appear ??

It’s a Google thing to wait, though other SE’s do similar.

do you have a step-by-step details on how to link your blogsite with google or any search engine?

please bear with me, i am a newbie.

Link your blog to your site, and when you make a post here Google will follow it to your site.
Also go comment on friends sites, interesting sites etc.

All the SE’s do is follow links – they will definitely find you ??

thanks, i think i’ll try to make a static page in the root and wait for google to crawl it.

worked with my html only site.

Are you looking at your website statistics? It’s been my experience that generally search engines visit pretty quickly after the first blog post.

But you are going to need some links from other websites to your blog; or from other websites to your site and then from your site to your blog.
