• Hello, I switch to 2023 recently. When I’m writing or editing a post, whenever I press ENTER, a new space for a block is added. But if I choose not to create a block and backspace out of it, that space stays in the page. The gap between the blocks keeps getting bigger the more I edit.

None of these gaps appear in the display of the page to public. https://escapefromtehran.com/authentic-iran-travel-tour/is-iran-safe-for-travel-part-4/ It is just on the edit side.

The only way I can get rid of them is update the page and then reload.

Any idea what’s going on? thanks in advance.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

Hi @polaatx – that seems super weird. Are you able to click back into those spaces and start typing? Or are they just empty gaps?

It may also help to take a look in the list view – can you tell me if there are empty Paragraph blocks in the list?

No. Not possible to type in the new space created. Just empty gaps.

Also there is nothing in the list view accounting for the new space created.

I made this screen recording to show you.

It might seem not a big deal. But once you edit a page quite a bit, the gaps get so big that on your screen you see just a couple of paragraphs with enormous space above and below them. The only way to restore the page is to update and reload the page.

    Hello

I just looked at the page from which created the screen recording for you.

Turns out that a gap is added to below EVERY paragraph in the post and not just the paragraph that was playing with. Now I realize why the page becomes so unwieldy.

    Hi there,

I wonder if there is a CSS or custom code loading on the editor and doing that.

Have you tried to check that with all the plugins deactivated? Also, my understanding is that you are not using a child theme, right?
