Why Geodirectory is not compatible to Google AMP

    Hi,

    We are having an issue in implementing the AMP in our website which is built on Geodirectory theme.

    When contacted they referred your page and said that since u don’t support thus they cannot help me in making the website https://www.tuikart.com AMP compatible.

    Instead they told me to connect to someone in WordPresss to develop it.

    Pls. suggest and provide solution.

    Hello,

    AMP is a very specific thing, take for example the AMP plugin here: https://en-gb.www.ads-software.com/plugins/amp/
    This plugin is created by automatic (the creators of WordPress) and still does not even support pages or archives let alone a directory.

    It is something we will look into in the future, probably once automatic has progressed their plugin more.

    The next version of the AMP plugin (v0.6) will support pages. It’s not clear what specifically about your theme is not compatible with AMP. Is it a page template or shortcode, or what?

    Clarification: Automattic is not the creator of WordPress. They are a contributor. Automattic is the creator of WordPress.com. The co-founder of www.ads-software.com is the founder of Automattic. The www.ads-software.com open source project is created by the community and many different companies and individuals.

    Custom post types are supported by the plugin, but you have to add support for them via either the add_post_type_support() call, or in the upcoming 0.6 version of the plugin you just enable support via the admin. For more see https://github.com/Automattic/amp-wp/wiki/Custom-Post-Type-Support
