    Hi,

I just made a new website.

Bad surprise with my first Post indexed by Google Image : it’s showing an avatar ! (screenshot below)

I would understand if the Post had no image content at all, but he Post already has an Image block + a Featured image.

    – Is that because the Post Title has the word “archive” inside ? (could it be interpreted by Google as an archive page ?)

    – Or could it be something wrong with Yoast ?

    Thanks for help

The correct images are showing for me when I checked Google Image Search. If you still see a generic avatar, maybe a browser extension you use is blocking? Try incognito or safe mode.

    Thank you @bcworkz ,

Strange because I still see this avatar for this specific Post. I tried with other browsers, cleaned the cache, cookies, extensions etc. But no change.

I will wait and see how google will index the other Posts in the next days…

This is so strange. I went back to get a screen grab just so you could see for yourself… It’s gone! Now I’m getting the same avatar you’re getting. I cannot imagine saying it’s an archive would prevent display of the image. But the thought caused me to search your site for “archive” images.

So Google does have the image, but it doesn’t show up in a general site search? I don’t think you’ve done anything incorrectly, this is due to Google weirdness.

Yes thank you @bcworkz , I think also that it’s google weirdness, because the other posts are starting to be indexed and it’s fine.
So I will mark this Topic as resolved.
    Thank you again !
