Why have wp-edit when you can't use it?

  • According to https://codex.www.ads-software.com/Function_Reference/wp_editor it should be very easy to add another TinyMCE editor. And yes , it’s very easy to add it.

    Unfortunately it does not save your data – a task that seems very difficult to accomplish.

    Why on earth is WP documenting this feature when it’s close to useless?

    I tried getting help over at wp stackoverflow but that didn’t yield much results ??

    Is there an alternative for adding an extra custom field with WYSIWYG editor?
