Why I cannot find Underscores (_s) theme from the official site of WP??

    Hi!

    I found exactly what I need: I simple template on which I can build my own theme. It’s called Underscores or in short _s. This is not a ready theme but just basics to build on.

    This theme claims to be build by the WordPress Team, but why I cannot find it from www.ads-software.com?? With a quick check I could not find even reference to it from www.ads-software.com! Why? Very strange!

    I prefer not to use anything unless it’s officially from the WordPress.

    Thanks for your answers. The best would be to give me a link where www.ads-software.com confirms that this is from them as it is claimed on underscores.me.

    Underscores is not a ready to go theme, but a starter theme. It is made by Automattic, the company behind WordPress.com to give anyone a headstart in creating their own theme. Autommatic make extensive use of it in the themes they create.

    Ok, I understand. But I still wonder why I cannot find a single reference to _s on www.ads-software.com to say that it is their project.. Is there some reason for that?

    _underscores is not a www.ads-software.com project; it is an Automattic project.

    Ok, I see. Also I cannot find reference to Underscores from Automattics webpage.. But well.. what ever it is, Underscores is great and I’m definitely going to use it to build my theme! ??
