• I am at the stage with my theme that I am trying to sync up my ids and classes in my header.php with those in my static site, so I think that many if not all my problems are related to that.

However, I don’t see why the top nav is only partly there…it’s probably staring right at me, but just not seeing it.

Any clues would be appreciated. Here is the link:

Can you clarify what you mean by “only partly showing”? When I look at your site, I see four gray boxes that grow slightly larger and become red when you hover over them. What are we supposed to see?

what you see is correct, but the menu contains more than that…the whole thing, top level, is:

    About
    Menu
    Photos
    Culture
    Blog
    Contact

I don’t see why all the top levels don’t show up there..plus the children of what is there…Culture has 4 child sub-nav elements.

Does your menu appear correctly if you switch to the default Twenty Fourteen theme? Also, I’d suggest going to your Dashboard and selecting Appearance > Menus to make sure that your custom menu structure was saved correctly.

ah…that sounds familiar…so, perhaps things aren’t in the correct order, or might not even be accounted for in there..

thank you..I thought that all of my work from here on would be in my php files…
