    … that most SEO plugins (including SmartCrawl) cannot configure sitemaps properly?

    I’ve just tried running smartcrawl on a one-page website, just to see what happened, and even though it was only a one-page website, the sitemap provided by smartcrawl showed TWO pages, (one with a sitemap1 URL in addition), both of which were hopelessly wrong.

    And so I’m really supposed to trust my websites to smartcrawl?

    Unlike many other users, I’m not impressed by the batwoman logo, so I’m afraid that making sure that the plugin works is a main priority in my case.

    Oh and one more thing – it’s explained in Google’s own documentation that a meta description will be truncated after 160 characters.

    Smartcrawl insists that it’s 300?

    I wonder then who I’m going to believe.

    Reverted back to Yoast.

    So now, we have someone who cannot enable sitemaps due to them being perpetually being created wrongly, but it’s my fault as I’m using the pro version?

    I think there is a misunderstanding here, what Adam said was that he noticed the feature that you are using is a Pro version, and per www.ads-software.com rules we only handle the Free version in this support forum, so we asked to keep this on https://wpmudev.com/hub2/support which is the Pro version support area.

    And no, sitemap will work on Free or Pro versions: https://wpmudev.com/docs/wpmu-dev-plugins/smartcrawl/#sitemaps

    Once that said, in case you would like a refund please contact us from https://wpmudev.com/contact/ as explained in this support area we only handle the Free version and not any account related.

    I’ve not got the pro version, even though your rep insists that I’ve got it.

    So please donate a years worth of wpmudev to UK Cancer Research instead of refunding me, please.
