• Hi,

I’ve just noticed my sight have my URL written across the top of the page – this wasn’t there before and I can’t figure out how to get rid of it.

    Anyone had a similar issue?

    Any help greatly appreciated, thanks!

It’s really hard to look at the source of your page due to the optimizations. Can you temporarily disable autoptimize and any other caching/optimization plugins?

    Hi Steve,

    I’ve deactivated all caching plugins.

Sorry, I’m not finding it. Maybe someone who’s had more (or less) coffee can jump in. Meantime, did you edit any files or add anything to the headers and/or footers?

No worries thank you for trying. And no I haven’t.

Is it possible to write a small piece of CSS that can make the text transparent?

Nope, because it has no explicit descriptor. It’s got to be found and removed. You didn’t edit anything?

Well, try this: This may be a plugin or theme conflict. Please attempt to disable all plugins, and use one of the default (Twenty*) themes. If the problem goes away, enable them one by one to identify the source of your troubles.

If you can install plugins, install “Health Check”: https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/health-check/ On the troubleshooting tab, you can click the button to disable all plugins and change the theme for you, while you’re still logged in, without affecting normal visitors to your site. You can then use its admin bar menu to turn on/off plugins and themes one at a time.

pro-tip; you can disable Autoptimize (and most caching plugins) on a per-request basis by adding ?ao_noptimize=1 to the URL.

    hope this helps debugging,

Ahhh okay, so I’ve found the culprit: PixelYourSite Pinterest.

We’ve just branched out to Pinterest last week so that explains why it’s recent.

I guess now I have to find a way to integrate my product feed without this plugin – the problem is this is the official recommended one.

I recommend asking at https://www.ads-software.com/support/plugin/pixelyoursite/#new-post so the plugin’s developers and support community can help you with this.
