Why is my website soooo slow?

    Hello, I know this question has been asked many times but I’ve read all the other posts and got nothing out of them.
    My WordPress website apostolvirtualassistance.com is running terribly slow. It is so ridiculous I dread of having to edit something or add content because it will take an eternity. I have followed the usual advice:
    Removed plugins, cached,removed, stopped jqery being called in the front page, not hosted in godaddy.. Still nothing.

    Could anyone tell me what the problem is??

    Ok, I optimized my database and got things speeding up a bit. Is that all that is needed?

    Something is off with wordpress.

    Does wordpress call to remote servers or anything for licensing reasons?

    This lag just randomly begins for people, without there being malware issues, site attacks, etc.
