Why is Simplicity So Difficult?

I’m trying to put together a very simple webpage for a music project I’m working on.

What I really want is a free theme that will present my single splash graphic with a small header containing a few menu options to navigate to other parts of the site.

What I want it look like is something like Lensa, but without the slideshow, dropdowns and content in the middle of the graphic.

I’m sure Lensa is a great deal more complex than I need and as a photography theme may have a lot of features that I can’t use and perhaps lacks a few I want, but there are surprisingly few themes that dare to present as simple a page layout as I wish. I’ve looked for several days without coming up with anything better.

Do any theme mavens here have any ideas for ones more suitable for my humble site?
