    Hi there!

I would like to get an answer in a (well) simplified form on the next question: Why should I use the plugin if I’ve already got an account at MailChimp and use its functionality? What so outstanding is available with plugin that MailChimp lacks?

    Thank you. Best rerads,

P.S. As I understand MailChimp for WP is based on shortcodes, so if I decide to cease using it all the forms and settings regarding its functionality and interconnection with my account at MailChimp will be abolished, am I right?

Well! Still nobody could tell why should I use plugin Mail Chimp for WordPress, so I suppose there are no obvious necessities to have one. Here we are.

    Hi Ecoduma,

Sorry, but it has not even been a full day since you asked the question. “Still” is a very exaggerated term here, especially for something that is completely free of charge for you….

Feel free to not use the plugin. We have more grateful users to take care of, which are all happily using & benefiting from the plugin without putting unfair demands on us.

That said, if you’re still interested in why you should use the plugin instead of directly embedding your MailChimp form, here you are.

    – Users don’t have to leave your site. You can integrate into your site more directly, customising many things along the way allowing for a higher conversion & better UX.
    – You can integrate with other forms on your site, like your comment form, contact form or checkout form.
    – You can add advanced MailChimp e-commerce integration to your site, allowing you to see exactly which subscribers bought which products, and what campaign generated that sale.
    – You can synchronize your WP user base with a MailChimp list.
    – You can style forms more easily & edit all user messages.
    – You can add a top or bottom sign-up bar to your site.
    – You can extend the plugin, basically allowing _anything_.

    Oh! I say!

When to shout ‘Fire!’ is the only way to lure all ‘creepy-crawlies’ out of their trenches just do it. Well, put aside mutual obloquies, let’s get down to details.

Still… I haven’t yet understood some nuances regarding shortcodes. Am I right in my guesswork? Will all that the Tower of plugins be ruined in a moment just as I decide to reject further using of Mail Chimp for WP by one or another reason?

In any case thank you for patience,

Just a man in high green wellies

    Hello @@ecoduma,

Yes you are correct. When you disable our plugin, the shortcodes will be displayed instead of the form.

    Thank you!

That is what I wanted to hear.
