    Dear,

I noticed that Mailchimp is loading a .js file on every page of my site. Why do you do that? It’s non-sense. I don’t need you to load such file on every page of my front-end.

Loading such file is relevant only in certain types of pages where a checkout for subscribing to the newsletter is available on the form, mainly : account page, checkout page and product page (reviews section).

How can I restrict the loading of this file to the above types of pages?

    Thanks

@gevcen thanks for reaching out about the Mailchimp script. The plugin injects this script because it’s supposed to merge the features of your Mailchimp account / settings into your store.

Can you please expand a little bit on what exactly you would like to do here instead? Would you like a wordpress hook or filter to determine whether or not this page loads? If you could explain in detail what you’re trying to accomplish that will help us understand how to implement this type of feature, setting, hook etc.

We’ll look out for your response here.

I’m using MailChimp only to automatically manage the audience of clients, then I export the audience in CSV and use another system to send the newsletter themselves.

Is this file necessary in this context? How can I dequeue this js file ?

    Thanks

    Same issue here…

    Dear,

My use of Mailchimp is ONLY restricted to the automatic subscription of clients to the Audience in my mailchimp account. Besides this, I do not use anything else from Mailchimp because I export the audience in Excel and I use other systems to make the newsletter.

In this context, is this file really necessary? If not, how can I dequeue it?

    Thanks

@gevcen and @nunowp if you’re using version 2.4 of the plugin, there is a new filter that you may use which you can find documentation here. This will allow you to filter the script based on any logic you might see fit. For you @gevcen that seems as if the custom filter would ALWAYS return false.

Thanks and please let us know if we can be of any other assistance. Also – if you haven’t done so already – please consider leaving the plugin a fair review to help other store owners like yourself in the future ??
