Why Must I Build an App in Order to Use This Plugin?

I don’t want to build a fb app.
I don’t want to learn to build any app at all.
I have no interest in that.
But every time I try activate this plugin, it insistes that I watch videos tutorials to build a fb app!
What is up with that?
