Why must you be a programmer in order to use WordPress???
-
I have used Blogger and have written custom Blogger templates for years. Because I want to monetize my new blog, I have chosen to start with WordPress to avoid having to move from Blogger at some point. This is now my 4th time installing WordPress and not being able to use it at all. When I ask for help, I’m sent links to pages that tell me to edit files and write code I’m unfamiliar with. When I ask for help, I’m told to pay even more money for someone to walk me through just a basic installation. When I ask for help, many times, no one has answers for me other than “you’re not doing it correctly”.
I am very frustrated that I’ve spent so much money on a product that I’m completely unable to use. I’m at a point now where after installing WordPress, the link I’m sent to access ny dashboard doesn’t work at all (https://stayathomeslacker.com/wp-admin). I get a message saying “the requested URL cannot be found or is unavailable”. How is this possible?? This is the link sent to me by WordPress. I’m at a complete loss and I feel like I’ve just thrown money away time and time again. If there is anyone out here who knows where I can go for help without having to A) learn how to code, and B) pay another few hundred dollars to just get to the admin dashboard, I would sincerely appreciate it.
Sorry if this comes off as bitchy – I’m just at a complete loss. Thanks to anyone who can assist.
