Why not a drag and drop interface for the file upload?

Hi,
This is an awesome plugin with an awesome name and awesome features.
I don’t know where else to make this feature request, so here goes.
Why doesn’t this plugin use the WordPress drag and drop interface for uploading files here?
Can it be added? Is drag and drop upload part of the plan for a paid addon?
I can’t use filepicker for data privacy reasons I need/want all the files hosted on my own stuff.
