I don’t understand why the plugin authors offer support if they don’t honour it.
i see people post on this thread, also I have emailed them multiple time over the past few months, not a single reply.
This plugin causes issues in WMT giving the error: Missing: name (fn)

even though others have posted this issue here as well as myself mailaing the plugin owner, nothing is ever done.

    See?
2 weeks not a single reply from the plugin author to go with the 3 support requests I previously lodged.

It doesn’t work, author doesn’t care.
Wordpress you should remove this plugin from your repository!

    DON’T DOWNLOAD!

1 entire month and no reply from the plugin author.
Wasted my time building reviews for a plugin that doesn’t work.

    DON’T DOWNLOAD RUBBISH SOFTWARE!

@mutu, you seem to be a very angry person. Correct me if I am wrong, this plugin is free. Why on earth are you demanding support? Fair enough they haven’t been seen in a while, that’s quite typical of a long lasting plugin, things do come to an end!

I suggest you go away and spend your time better by learning to code, otherwise you have no right to complain.

    Hear, hear.

I think it’s disgusting to offer someone a free lift and keep them waiting to simply not turn up without polite warning. Simple as that, free or not. Offer it or don’t offer it.

    Disgusting.

I’ve managed to fix a few errors myself in the functions editor. All the Schema.org references are out of date. For example, the URL’s in the itemtype tags are outdated (wrong) and the associated itemprop tags are outdated (wrong) also. Took a while to figure out, but not to tough to resolve once I realised.

    Good luck with any progress.

Is this kind of support normal in the free plugin world ?

I am new to WP , but this seems quite strange. Why give out a free plugin, get a lot of good reviews and then just leave ?

Its like : Please come and eat for free in my restaurant that has lots of good reviews ! When you get there, there are lots of guests in the restaurant , but nobody in the kitchen. All the food is selfservice and outdated and un-eatable.

Maintaining a plugin is a hard work. People live their life and sometimes – quite often – they don’t have any time to maintain their plugin. Learn to code, create free plugins and you will see how the real world looks like.

    Good news !

I filled out the form : “Get in touch with the Plugin Developers” and described the problem.
I got a friendly reply from one of the developers of the plugin. Company Brainstorm Force. I have a good feeling and reason to believe that there will be work done on many of the issues by end of next week. (A donation did not hurt :).

    Special Note –

    1. Thanks to @heliwing as he contacted, explained issues precisely and even sponsored this update.

    2. We’ve started managing this project on GitHub here. Anyone that wants to contribute, PR request is welcome ??
