Why oh why are scripts still loading on non-gallery posts/pages

I’ve just upgraded to the latest version of NGG on WP 3.9.1 on my test site and am wondering why on earth the plugin is loading multiple scripts/files on pages/posts that don’t even have a gallery on.

Can anyone shed some light on why this is still happening. Surely it’s bad practice loading unwanted scripts?
