  • Same problem here, WordPress requires PHP version 7.4 or greater, and I am not running PHP 8 yet.

I love your plugin – thanks for the plugin and all the work you have put into it. Unfortunately, I may have to uninstall it due to the PHP 8 restriction. My web hosting service doesn’t yet support PHP 8.0 (fatcow.com). Also, only about 30% of PHP users on the web have moved to PHP 8 (see here). I would respectfully request that you modify the code in your plugin that shuts out sites that are unable to upgrade to PHP 8.0 (or some may be unwilling to). Otherwise, more users, like myself, won’t be able to upgrade it to the latest version, and may have to remove it. Thanks for your consideration.

I’m maintaining this plugin in my free time thus I’m not able to provide support for all possible PHP and WordPress versions. PHP 7.4 (and even 8.0) are no longer actively supported. WordPress itself has support for PHP 8.0 since WordPress 6.3.

Feel free to continue using 2.x until you can upgrade your environment.
