    Hi @chcw ,

I’m sorry to hear that you’re facing this issue which should not happen. Have a look: https://d.pr/i/0r2zjW

Could you please navigate Dashboard > Settings > Permalinks > click Save Changes (make sure the “Post Name” is selected ) there: https://d.pr/i/qEb6ZR

This will rewrite your permalink structure. Hope this will solve it.
If you still having the same issue, you can delete the .htaccess file (you can take a backup or copy that anywhere) from your WordPress root directory and resave the Permalink again.

Let me know how it goes!

    Hi, @abidhasan112

Sorry but currently my permalinks are already using “Post Name”. All our other articles and posts are using the “Post Name” as permalink properly.

In the search results, only those from BetterDocs will display with ?p=###, all other posts/pages will show their URL with post name properly.

Moreover, even if URL like ?p=### is displayed, the URL should also workable, instead of showing 404 error.

    I have checked other posts:

    1. For those that are not created via BetterDocs, I can access via both normal and ?p=### URLs.
    2. For those that created via BetterDocs, I can access it via normal URL, but not ?p=### URLs, though ### is a valid post ID.

    Hi @chcw ,

I’ve checked your website today and seems the BetterDocs search URL permalink working as expected with the proper URL. Here is the video: https://d.pr/v/cePFiq

So could you please confirm that the issue you’ve mentioned has been fixed?

Let me know so that I can resolve this topic.
    Thank you!

    Hi, @abidhasan112

The search function built in BetterDocs works. However, the site-wide search function via Relevanssi does not. Currently input keyword such as “uninstall” in the top search bar will bring your article, but with the format of https://www.datanumen.com/?p=3125, not the https://www.datanumen.com/knowledgebase/how-to-uninstall-your-software/

Now clicking the result will bring out the correct page. The original 404 error is caused by Asset Cleanup Pro which unload BetterDocs on some pages.

    Hi @chcw ,

I’ve just checked your website’s top search bar as well. It seems fine now in terms of permalink. Have a look: https://d.pr/v/LNCKug

    So could you please confirm?
    Thank you!

    @abidhasan112

Thank you very much. Now everything seems OK.

I find out the problem is that I use Asset Cleanup Pro to unload BetterDocs on all pages except those in a format https://www.datanumen.com/knowledgebase/xxx, which causes the problem.

Hope my experiences will be helpful to others with similar issue.
